HOLA!
I'm Kanyaka, a designer and mixed-media artist hailing from Mumbai, India. After my graduation in finance, I shifted gears and forayed into the world of design.
My fascination with design blossomed when I stumbled upon the weathered sketches and timeless creations of my late great grandfather, a commercial artist thriving in the vibrant 1940s. This serendipitous journey sparked an interest in my heart for design. At heart, I’m a storyteller. I’m drawn to design that feels, that carries narrative, culture, and a sense of rhythm.
My practice spans brand identity, typography, packaging, and editorial design, with a deep interest in systems thinking and storytelling. I’m particularly drawn to brands that feel human layered, poetic, and honest. I believe design should not only function, but resonate to live as memory, intention, and meaning. My process begins with language and emotion before it ever reaches form.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Spanish, I’m always seeking new ways to connect across cultures, mediums, and ideas. With over 2 years of industry experience, I’m now excited to explore new creative environments where curiosity, experimentation, and expression thrive.
